World Series Splatball General Info

Hopefully we can answer most people's questions below, however if you have one we have not yet thought of please send us an email and we will get back to you.

Is there a minimum age to play Splatball?

Splatball is recommended for ages 8+, if you do have any slightly younger players (7 year olds) in your group then we recommend having some parents play to buddy up with them and ensure they are comfortable on the field. Splatball is not appropriate for ages 6 or younger. Splatball can be played by both juniors and adults.

Is there are minimum group size required to play?

If you are looking to make a small booking with just a few players, we simply group your group together with other small groups of a similar age to maximise every ones enjoyment. If you are looking to play at a time when there are no other groups booked in then just give as a call on 1300 66 16 50 to organise how many players you would need.

How does the booking process work?

To book your session in, we simply collect a $15 deposit per player at the time of booking to allow us to reserve the session and roster our referees on to run the session. The $15 deposit is then simply deducted from the price of each player's session on the day of play. To book in simply do this online 24 hours a day by choosing your session time above and following the steps or by giving us a call on 1300 66 16 50 and fix up with a Credit Card over the phone.

If i need to cancel my booking do I get my deposit back?

Yes, if you are cancelling your entire booking, or a significant portion of it (more than 4 players) then you need to notify us a minimum of 10 days prior to your play date and you will receive a refund on your deposits. If you simply need to adjust your player numbers you can do this up until the Wednesday prior to playing. Each group receives an email the Monday prior to playing with a link to update your playing numbers with. If a player pulls out after the Wednesday prior to playing then you forfeit the deposit for that player (or alternatively you can just get one of the parents to jump in and have some fun).

Is 90 minutes long enough?

At World Series Splatball we believe in the old saying 'Go Hard or Go Home'. So our sessions include games with both unlimited paintballs and non elimination style games, so players are running, shooting, chasing, strategising the full session and are sure to come off red faced, puffed, and buzzing! For most players 90 minutes is heaps, however if your group think they can hack it a double session can be arranged for just an extra $30 per person (this must be requested when booking).

Does it hurt when you get hit?

The only real difference between World Series Splatball and traditional paintball is the 'impact' when you are hit. Splatball players will know when they have been hit, however it does not bruise or hurt like traditional paintball can.

How does my day work?

All sessions commence with an Induction Program that consists of players getting geared up, undertaking a Safety Brief and Tutorial, learning how to use the guns, and becoming familiar with the game rules (approximately 20 - 30 minutes). Then it's Play Time. Players will play a variety of missions during their session. All sessions include unlimited paintballs and players will refill approximately 25 times (375 paintballs) during their hour on the field. Following your 90 minute session groups are welcome to stay in the venue and make use of the party tables to enjoy a bit to eat and drink.

Can consent forms be completed prior to the day of play?
